The term "entrepreneur" has been in use to describe a businessman since the middle of the eighteenth century, when it appeared in the translation of a king of prussia's instructions to generals. The king had instructed the generals to work with the entrepreneur to decide on the quantity to be purchased. Later, the term came to mean a person who acts as a middleman or undertakes any type of activity.
